With the release of the Dell EMC™ Analytic Insights Module, enterprises now have a platform that can address the full analytics lifecycle. Analytic Insights Module is engineered to combine self-service data analytics with cloud-native application development into a single cloud platform, eliminating the months it takes to build your own.
As many of our customers move their entire compute environment—including analytics and storage—into the Hortonworks distribution of Hadoop, Attivio has focused on gaining greater integration with Hortonworks. Having one platform repository in which to execute makes everyone's life simpler.
Organizations recognize the value of Hadoop in dealing with extremely large and diverse datasets. But they're also looking for enterprise features such as data governance. Attivio can help in both areas. Here's Attivio CTO and co-founder Will Johnson discussing Hadoop integration at a recent Hortonworks user conference.
Attivio is excited to be a part of EMC’s new Big Data Solution. It’s not generally available yet, so we thought we’d have a chat with Ted Bardasz from EMC to give you a look at what this new platform offering is and how Attivio fits in.
Q: Tell me about your role at EMC.
TB: I am the Senior Director of Product Management in the Converged Platform Division, responsible for our Big Data and Native Hybrid Cloud solutions.
Matt Connon has an interesting job at Attivio. As the SVP of Channels and Partners, he gets the opportunity to work with a wide range of vendors and system integrators interested in what Attivio’s platform brings to the table. We spoke with Connon about his role and the importance of partners to Attivio’s success.
A Key Role as SVP of Channels and Partners
Connon leads the team responsible for developing Attivio’s partnerships to accelerate the sale and deployment of Attivio’s software and solutions to end user customers. Attivio focuses a great deal of attention to its channel partners with 50% of total new license revenue coming through channel partners. Connon says this number will grow as Attivio continues to scale and build strong relationships with resellers, ISVs, and other partners.
Today we announced an expanded relationship with PerkinElmer, a global leader focused on improving the health and safety of people and the environment, making them the exclusive OEM of Attivio licenses in the life sciences vertical. With this new partnership, PerkinElmer’s deep expertise across life science fields will be coupled with Attivio’s data discovery solutions, resulting in accelerated big data analysis projects.
Big Data Analytics for Life Sciences
Like other industries, life sciences grapples with finding the best ways to derive value from the massive volumes of data available to them.
