Critical Information Exchange Solution Provider Increases Functionality with Attivio's Active Intelligence Engine™

intralinks-logo.pngNEWTON, MASS. - March 2, 2009 - IntraLinks, the leading provider of critical information exchange solutions, today announced that it has chosen Attivio's Active Intelligence EngineTM (AIE) to fuel its advanced search capabilities. Attivio's search platform will integrate with IntraLinks' permissioning model, enabling IntraLinks' hundreds of thousands of users to examine data and documents at a more granular level while maintaining previously defined access rights.

Attivio also provides IntraLinks with the ability to execute real-time tagging and commenting. Unlike legacy enterprise search software that stores access control lists (ACLs) as a field in each and every document, Attivio's real-time fields can be updated instantly without retrieving and reprocessing the rest of the document. This results in increased performance with "live checks" to accommodate changes in permissions.
