451 Group Impact Report Recognizes Attivio for its Innovative Technology

Wednesday, September 9, 2009, Company Release

Attivio highlighted for pedigree, innovation and growth, also launches seminar series

Attivio today announced the recently published 451 Group's Impact Report, "Attivio Adds to its Search Story and Gets Sentimental," is available for download on the company's web site. In the report, Attivio is recognized for its engineering pedigree, solid funding and new customer growth. The company also announced upcoming breakfast seminars in New York - September 16, Boston - September 17, and San Francisco, September 23.

In the report, 451 Analysts Nick Patience and Katey Woods examine the new features and customer-driven enhancements in Attivio's new 1.5 release of the Active Intelligence Engine (AIE), which boasts modules for Classification, Sentiment Analysis and Optical Character Recognition (OCR), as well as enhanced security features. The report touts sentiment analysis as a key differentiator for Attivio, which offers entry to the hot voice-of-the-customer market. The new capabilities for OCR and classification open up opportunities in the media and legal domains as well.

"We are pleased with the continued acknowledgement from leading analyst firms, particularly this report from The 451 Group, as we continue to position ourselves as the leader in Unified Information Access," said Ali Riaz, CEO of Attivio. "Attivio has experienced strong customer growth and significant enhancements to the AIE platform that prove to be unique differentiators amongst other companies in the space."

In the report, Patience and Woods report that, "The firm's next goal is to replace databases; higher availability, better backup, improved security and a new SQL module will gird the platform for this, and Attivio has found several early adopters willing to make the leap."
