Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, Company Release

Attivio to Participate in Netezza Enzee Universe 2009 World Tour

Enzee Universe 2009, BOSTON, MA - Attivio, the leading unified information access platform, in partnership with Netezza Corporation (NYSE: NZ), the global leader in data warehouse and analytic appliances, today announced that its Active Intelligence EngineTM (AIE) will be available on the Netezza® TwinFinTM data warehouse appliance. Attivio will also be participating in Netezza's Enzee Universe 2009 World Tour, which begins today in Boston, Massachusetts.

Attivio's AIE brings the ability to add full text search queries to Netezza's structured data analytics. Through this relationship, Netezza customers will be able to address the analytical needs of unstructured data (i.e., text, Word files, PDFs, etc), as well as structured data (i.e., databases, Excel files, etc) from a single appliance.

"Netezza is the leader in the data warehousing and data analytics appliance market and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to play a role in expanding the already impressive capabilities they offer their customers," said Sid Probstein, CTO of Attivio. "Attivio's unified information access platform offers an unprecedented ability to provide a complete view of the entire information landscape in real time to create one of the most powerful solutions in the industry."

"Today, companies around the globe look to Netezza to provide them with fast and in-depth analysis of terabytes of corporate data," said Matt Rollender, director of strategic and technology partnerships at Netezza. "Partnering with Attivio, we will now have the ability to help them make sense of all of the information and intelligence within their organization, putting Netezza far ahead of any other data analytics offering."
