Attivio Releases Version 1.3 of AIE

Active Intelligence Engine (AIE) release 1.3 is out! Our engineering team has just delivered another product release full of new features and enhancements to Attivio AIE.  It is quite an accomplishment when you look at the list of features put together in just 4 months since the last release.

Many of us are familiar with the kind of software vendors that are "sticking to their roadmap plans" and are slow in reacting to their customers' needs.  This is not just a phenomenon of the software behemoths but can also be found with young or small companies that deliberately ignore the "noise" coming from customers, convinced that it inhibits innovation and the development of new features.  This is not a trivial challenge; there is no "right" or "wrong" answer, but we feel we've managed to achieve a good balance in this release between customer-related features and new innovations that support our vision. We were able to achieve this by understanding the source for "customers' pain points" and following the Agile Development model with "agility".

So what are the most exciting features in 1.3? It depends how you plan on using Attivio AIE...  If you are most interested in using geospatial information, such as stores locations, then you would be excited about the geographic search features that allow searching, sorting and filtering based on location and distance.  Others might like the new aggregated statistics for Facets that allow you to quickly summarize numeric data.
